Oh my gosh, it’s nice to see you here! My name is Lindsey, I know what you’re thinking, “Her name’s not Holly?” So sorry to disappoint. The name Hollyhock Design came from a fond memory of my Nana, making these adorable little ladies out of Hollyhocks. Just like my logo! 

Now that we have that out of the way, I love events! All kinds of events really. I hope to help my clients create functional, entertaining, unique events, and making it, at the very least, easier to plan along the way. 

My experience in events started about 15 years ago. I worked my way up through all types of event/management/sales rolls at a resort, learning how best to run a team, proactively problem solving, coordinating large and small groups of people and loving every second of it. I finished the last 7 years of my venue management career specializing in weddings. In 2020 I shifted, along with the rest of the world, to something a little smaller. Elopements became my focus. I got ordained, started building fresh floral bouquets/boutonnières, and ended up marrying over 30 couples my first year. 

Working for venues wasn’t working for my family any longer. I wanted the freedom to make decisions that were best for the client. After planning, coordinating, and working thousands of events, I was ready start my business! So here I am, a wife, mother, and business owner, looking to turn everyday events into unique experiences that last forever.

Michelle Stone

Michelle and I first met when I hired her for a venue. She was quickly moved up and was soon leading an amazing team, ensuring functional setups and seamless coordinations. She has since ran hundreds of events, overseeing venue renovations, and worked with multiple venues from a catering perspective. I am so thankful to not only call her a close friend but consider her an irreplaceable part of my team. Like me, she loves weddings but she has managed all types of events. You may have her as a coordinator or see her assisting with setup or tear down.

Emily and I met when she interned for me early in her career, she was the most helpful intern I had ever had. She has an amazing eye for details and design, with the coordination experience to back it up. Her business “In Full Bloom” started with a flower farm and is growing to be a full service wedding business! She is an amazing asset to any event! View her business below!

Event Assisting Specialist & 
Home Baker

Kara Zummer

Kara and I worked together coordinating at a venue and have been good friends ever since! She has a ton of coordinating experience but prefers to assist with design elements and setup of events. She is the owner of an amazing home baking business “Kara Zummer Baking”. She can make just about anything from specialty cakes, decadent sugar cookies, amazing French Macaroons and so much more! You may see her during the setup process but definitely check her out for any dessert needs!
